Time to Review 2022

The beginning of the year is a great time to review many aspects of your business to find opportunities for growth and avoid unpleasant surprises. Here are 6 areas to review and plan for:

Website and social media presence: Does your website and social media presence need refreshing? When was the last time you updated your site? Do you have a website? Does it focus on how you help others solve their problems or is it all about you? Do you have new products or services that aren’t on your site? And how is your media marketing aligned?
Vendors: Are you working with the best vendors for your customers and your business? A lot has changed, and the supply chain issues have certainly revealed weaknesses for many businesses. Now is the time to evaluate your vendors, their pricing, service, future plans, and responsiveness to change. Maybe it’s time to look for some better alternatives or backups.
Equipment and software: Do you have the right equipment and software to achieve your business goals? Do you have equipment and software that you’re still paying for but are not using? It all starts with inventorying all your equipment and software. You may be surprised to find out how much you really have.
Talent: Do you have the talent you need to achieve your annual goals? The pandemic has been a big factor in disrupting the job market, but it was the root cause or just a catalyst? Staffing problems have been building for a long time, well before the pandemic. The problems can be traced back to missing or poorly managed talent optimization efforts in businesses large and small. This is no small matter and needs a lot of attention to ensure you have the right people doing the right things at the right time.
Insurance policies: When was the last time you reviewed your insurance policies to make sure you have the right coverage at the best rates?
Retirement benefits programs: When was the last time you reviewed your retirement benefits programs to make sure they align with your and your employees’ needs?

These are just a few areas to review and plan for at the beginning of the year. By taking the time to do this, you can set your business up for success in the coming year.
